Emilio Delgado has been reported dead at the age of 81 years. He was born on May 8, 1940. He was reported to have died on March 10, 2022.

Delgado was a Mexican American television, film, and stage actor, voice artist, and singer. Delgado was best known for his role in the children’s television series, Sesame Street as Luis, the Fix-it Shop owner.

In 1971, Delgado became a cast of Sesame Street where he remained until his contract was no longer renewed in 2016.

He began his professional career in Los Angeles in 1968. He lived with his wife, Carole in New York City. The couple had two children together.

Delgado served as one of the board of directors at the Bayard Rustin Center for Social Justice, an LGBTQIA safe-place, community activist center, and educational bridge.
