Teddy Bridgewater parents: Rose Murphy, Teddy Bridgewater, Sr.

Teddy Bridgewater is a quarterback for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He had previously played football at the University of Louisville.

The Minnesota Vikings chose him in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He passed for 14 touchdowns in each of his first two seasons, helping the Vikings win the NFC North and qualify for the Pro Bowl in 2015.

Teddy Bridgewater was born on November 10, 1992, in Miami, Florida, and grew up there.  He was born to black American parents Teddy Bridgewater Sr. and Rose Murphy, his mother. They later divorced. He was raised by his single mother since his father was absent from his life.

Her mother was once diagnosed with breast cancer but she pulled through and survived it.
